Star Wars

Star Wars is a super fun and flowy freeride trail with wooden features, huge bermed corners, and a big wall ride to boot. Built with the beginner to intermediate rider in mind, Star Wars is the perfect trail to take young riders on to introduce them to the sport of freeriding. Both young and old, beginner to expert, will have a blast riding laps on this kilometre-long descent. When combined with Return of the Jedi, the up track to the start of Star Wars, this trail is just over 2.5 km in length.

Star Wars was built in 2010 by the Bow Valley Mountain Bike Alliance in partnership with Parks Canada, and is quickly becoming one of the most visited mountain bike trails in the Park.

Trail Location

Trailhead: The trailhead is located off of Tunnel Mountain Drive, above the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. Look for a small singletrack on the uphill side heading into the woods. Follow this for less than 30 metres to the start of the trail. A silver trail sign with “Star Wars” etched in on it and a wooden feature at the beginning of the trail indicates you are in the right spot.
