Bear Claw Poppy

St. George, Utah, USA

Bear Claw Poppy is a popular shuttle run that may be combined with Stucki Springs Trail or the popular Zen Trail if you’re out for a cross-country ride. The trail is best ridden north to south ending at Navajo Drive. This is not a very technical trail, aside from the Three Fingers of Death which provides the rider with three options; the three lines range from intermediate to advance and meet up 500 metres down the trail. The first part of Bear Claw is rated intermediate and quickly changes to a beginner technical rating the second half of the descent.

Bear Claw Poppy is best described as a roller coaster of a ride, with a natural pump track that can be loads of fun once you’ve got it dialed. Ride it a few times to get the lay of the land, sort out your lines and find your flow as there are many options to take when making your way down this trail.

Watch out for oncoming traffic on the first part of this trail, as riders tend to loop Bear Claw with Stucki for an epic cross country ride. The second half of Bear Claw Poppy has an up track, next to the down allowing you to really let it rip!
