Bobsled

Mount Fromme, North Shore, British Columbia, Canada

Low enough to be snow-free all winter and designed to shed water like a duck, Bobsled is without a doubt the most ridden trail on Fromme. The old Bobsled was rebuilt a couple of years ago into a rollers and berms trail, and while it’s very short, it’s the only one of its kind on the North Shore. It’s also one of the easiest trails on the Shore since all of the bridgework is very rideable and the only drop is less than 3 feet high and easily ridden around. Bobsled is built so that beginners can ride it slowly while more advanced riders can go much faster and gap some of the rollers and rail the berms. While some riders scoff at Bobsled as a ‘dumbing-down’ of the North Shore standard of technical difficulty, there’s no arguing with the number of riders it sees. This style of trail is gaining in popularity over the more traditional skinnies, rolls and drops style.
