Floppy Bunny
Fromme, North Shore, British Columbia, Canada
If you're a North Shore regular Floppy Bunny is a fun little warm-up before you head further up the mountain. If you’re new to the North Shore it’s a great way to evaluate your skills before you venture on to more challenging terrain. The trail has seen a lot of work recently: the bench cut entrance, the small table top in the clearing, numerous bermed corners and little airs, but it still has enough gnar to let you know where you stand. A few rooty roll downs, some rocked in sections and small hits will test your skills in a fairly non-threatening manner. Stronger riders should take things slow because some of the jumps are take-offs with short or flat landings and if you carry a lot of speed into them you may find yourself overshooting the landings. Nothing is big enough to hurt you, but it’s good to be on your toes because an awkward landing can be dangerous. Floppy Bunny is more technical than Bobsled, but in no way is it intimidating. It’s aimed at beginners and the ladder bridges all end in roll-downs and all the drops found on the trail have a safe ride-around; there are no mandatory airs. Floppy Bunny is a great intro to Fromme and to what you’ll find deeper in the forest. It’s also very convenient as you’re riding right above the toilets and the drop-off area… what could go wrong?
