Diamond T Loop

Diamont T Loop is a short, but fun loop which starts at the Station Flats parking area. A great trail to warm up on, or to help ease a new rider into riding the variety of cross country trails located in Kananaskis Country. This is a multi-use trail that sees a lot of traffic on the weekends; please give way to hikers and pedestrians and watch out for downhill riders connecting up with Diamond T as they come off of Race of Spades (downhill track).

The trail can be ridden in either direction and rides well both ways. Mostly doubletrack, mixed in with wide signletrack throughout, this trail is a challenge for the beginner, but an easy ride for the intermediate rider. A lookout point offering views of the surrounding mountains and valley below is a great rest spot along this track. Other than a little bit of loose gravel on the west end of the loop (hill) and a creek crossing, there is nothing too exciting about this ride. This is exactly what a beginner pushing intermediate may prefer.

Trail Location

Trailhead: From Bragg Creek, drive west along Hwy 66 to Station Flats. Park at Station Flats and look for the Trailhead on the west end of the parking area. Well marked. If riding it clockwise, follow Elbow Valley for a few hundred metres to the well-marked trailhead, to your right. Otherwise, follow the Diamond T Loop trailhead from Station Flats to ride it counterclockwise.
