Trail information: Over 80km of trails, plus 20km of forestry roads, spread within 356ha (880acres) of privately owned pine forest make up the Pan Pac Eskdale MTB Park. The highest point in the park is at Tait Road and Waipunga Road  - 290 m elevation.

A permit is required to ride the trails. You can pick up a permit at any of Napier’s bike shops or at the Napier Info Centre; $7 for a 3 week permit or you can get an annual pass if you plan on staying longer. The trail fee is used for trail development and maintenance, to keep you riding.

For online permits or full membership go to www.hawkesbaymtb.co.nz/default.asp?. Permits can also be purchased from any bike shop or info centre within Hawkes Bay.

To get the best overview of the park, I would suggest riding the following 2-3 hr loop. Start at the main carpark (Tait Rd.) and take Zip to El Berro, to Magpies to Bolt to Boulder to Tank to DH Link to Pace to Blink to Tai to Appex to Twoman to Eskview to Ridgeline to Ledge and finish on Dam Canyon which takes you back to the parking lot.
