Fenland Loop

The Fenland Loop is a short but fun loop near the Banff Town site; it’s a favourite spot for wildlife and nature discovery year round. Used by dog walkers, cyclists, and hikers in the summer months, the loop offers an enjoyable outing for families with small kids hoping to get out on their bikes. The trail hugs the shores of Forty Mile Creek and is a wide gravel path, with a short section of singletrack (narrow trail).

Fenland is located on the outskirts of town and may be combined with a ride along the bank of the Bow River. Please give right-of-way to joggers and walkers when biking on this loop.

Trail Location

Trailhead: The trailhead can be found on the west side of Mount Norquay Road a few hundred metres before the Trans Canada Hwy 1 off and on ramps. There is a picnic area and parking lot at the trailhead, along with a map of the trail system.
