Bow Falls/ Hoodoos Trail

Banff, Alberta, Canada

The Bow Falls / Hoodoos Trail can be ridden either direction. It is a short singletrack trail which takes you down towards Bow Falls, or up from the falls to the second Tunnel Mountain parking lot located on Tunnel Mountain Road. It’s a great trail for families to enjoy.

Expect incredible views of the surrounding mountains and the river below, along with a short exposed ridge section on Tunnel. The trail is well marked; just follow the orange arrows.

I recommend riding the trail from the Tunnel Mountain Rd. parking lot, down towards Bow Falls, ending at “Surprise Corner” which offers some incredible views of Fairmont Banff Springs. This option is much easier than having to ride up a short, but steep, section on the east end of the trail - this section is very short and can be easily walked if beyond your ability to ride up or descend.

Trail in awsome condition. WARNING came across the mother black bear with the 2 cubs on the first step downhill section. Went back up the hill and left them to it and did the blue tunnel loop instead. Great evening bike ride. Mark
