The JEM trail is named after John, Ellen and Mike, the three builders of this sweet singletrack that may be ridden as a loop, out and back or can be shuttled. The trail gives a whole new meaning to the term flow. The hard packed and smooth singletrack is a joy to ride, making it really fun at mach speed. Ride it fast or take your time and enjoy your surroundings as you make your way down to the Virgin River. Expect a short exposed bit of trail near the north end of JEM, which can be walked if you’re uncomfortable riding too close to the gorge. There is a short technical switchback section in the middle of this trail, dubbed the staircase, which may be walked or avoided all together if it makes the beginner rider uncomfortable; otherwise this trail is great for all abilities to enjoy.
