An out and back singletrack trail boasting some incredible views of Lake Taupo. The trail begins at the Shop in Kinloch and takes you up along Whangamata Bay (Lake Taupo). The trail ends at a secluded beach, which takes about 1 – 2 hrs to get to.bikepirate rating:

Trailhead:
Start at the Shop in Kinloch and head west up the beach for about 200 metres. You will cross a small bridge before encountering the well-marked Kawakawa trailhead.
