Lake Louise Tramline

Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada

Follow in the footsteps – or trolley wheels – of travelers who, a century ago, were dropped off at the railway station and then ferried, by tram, on this 3% railway grade to the Chateau Lake Louise.

The tramline connects the village of Lake Louise with Chateau Lake Louise. This route provides a great way for families to explore the surrounding area on two wheels. For those a little more adventurous looking for a mountain bike x-country ride, use the Tramway to connect to Ross Lake Trail or the Moraine Lake Trail.

The trail is a smooth and wide doubletrack great for cruising.
