Options
Option 1: As a climb from Station Flats, take Tom Snow north. It is a wide trail that often has water drainage problems so please avoid widening it more by skirting the puddles. The trail has a gradual gradient, but a few physically demanding sections will be encountered along the way. Maps and markers along the trail, where Ridgeback crosses Tom Snow, will point you in the right direction. Follow Tom Snow all the way to the start of Moosepackers. Moosepackers is steeper and has several technically demanding switchbacks when ridden as an uphill. Moosepackers ends at the Moose Mountain Road. Once there, take a left to reach the summit parking lot or a right to ride to the summit of Moose Mountain.
Option 2: Alternatively, you can climb Pneuma up to the start of Moosepackers. Pneuma is a gradual singletrack climb that takes you to the summit of Moose Mountain, after which it connects you with Moosepackers.
GPS of the Moose Mountain Loop (Pneuma to Moose Packers to Ridgeback) can be downloaded here.
Option 3: Your last option is to shuttle Moosepackers. Drop off a retrieval vehicle at Station Flats parking lot and drive up Moose Mountain Road. Park at the Moose Mountain Summit parking lot and take Moose Mountain Fire Road to the T-intersection at the bottom of the rocky hill where you will turn right to find the start of Moosepackers.
