Ribbon Creek Trail

Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada

Ribbon Creek trail is an out and back beginner ride, which may be combined with the Kovach trail for a loop around Ribbon Creek. The trail may be accessed via the Ribbon Creek day use area; same spot as the Troll Falls MTB Trails.

A short 4.25 km pedal up a gentle slope on a wide gravel path is what one can expect from this scenic ride. A great ride for families looking to explore the Kananaskis Village area trails, without getting in over their heads. The trail runs along the river valley with Olympic Peak (Nakiska Ski Resort) and Ribbon Peak to your right and Mount Kidd appearing in the distance to your left.

The Ribbon Creek trail continues past the 4.25 km mark, where bikes or not allowed; clearly indicated by the “no bikes” sign. Turn around at this point, or continue on foot for another 4.2 km to reach Ribbon Falls. A bike rack is available, so bring a lock if you decide to venture on.
