Riverview Trail

Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada

Riverview Trail is a scenic intermediate singletrack ride that may be ridden either direction and is accessed via the Paddy’s Flat Recreation Area. The trail runs along the Elbow River and may be used to access the Sulphur Springs Trail and the Elbow Valley Trail for those staying at Paddy’s Flat’s and wishing to do a longer cross country ride.

This is a scenic ride along the Elbow River with very little elevation gain and is a great trail for families to enjoy. The little bit of elevation (short hill climb) on this trail takes you up to an amazing lookout on top of a ravine offering some incredible views of the Elbow River below. Ride this trail as an out-and-back or as a connector trail, the choice is yours. If you decide to continue on the trail to Elbow Valley Trail, you will climb out onto Hwy 66, cross the highway and continue climbing to the trailhead for both Sulphur Springs and Elbow Valley.

Please stay bear aware as you are in bear country and carry bear spray at all times. It is best to travel in groups and make lots of noise.
