Tunnel Loop

Banff, Alberta, Canada

This superb x-country singletrack trail loops along the top of Tunnel Mountain. It’s an awesome ride for the whole family to enjoy, or a quick lap for those more experienced. Ride up to it from town, or drive up and park in one of the many carparks located off Tunnel Mountain Road. The trail is very fast and flowy, offering some great views of the surrounding mountains, river valley, and the famous Hoodoos.

Tunnel Loop can be ridden either direction. You can combine the loop with the advanced trail The Toe. To do so please follow the black markers instead of the blue markers, when given the option.

Had a great time on this yesterday (May 5/2013). 99.9% dry, even dusty in some parts. We stayed on the blue so it wasn’t super tech, just a really fun trail with minimal elevation change, great way to spend a sunny afternoon!
