Trail information: The trails are well marked, but we would encourage you to pick-up a trail map ($5.00) at any of the Rotorua bike shops. With over 100km of trail, it’s easy to get lost without one. If the local shops don’t have a map, then head over to the Visitor Centre on Long Mile Road for your copy, or to Planet Bike, the bike rental company situated in the Waipa carpark. Please note, the Visitor Centre on Long Mile Road is on the opposite side of town and the opposite direction from the MTB Carpark.

If you’re out to do some downhill (DH) riding and prefer not to pedal to the start of the DH trails, then we would suggest taking the shuttle.  The cost is $10/run and can be booked through Southstar Adventures.

Shuttle times: the shuttle runs daily during school holidays and every day in January, as well as on weekends year round.  They also provide service on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5.30pm till dark during daylight savings.
