If you’re looking for a year-round riding destination that is close to home and offers up some incredible riding along a vast network of trails, I suggest you look to the Sunshine Coast. Home to the Coastal Crew and an integral part of the BC Bike Race, the Sunshine Coast boasts a network of trails for every level of rider and ability.

The Bow Valley app includes all Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise trails open to mountain biking; including all trails located at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Bonus trails include Pipestone and Bow River Loop, not included in the original book.
If you haven’t heard or seen the images from the storm that has battered most of southern Alberta, including Calgary, Canmore, Moose Mountain and West Bragg Creek, then you must be living in a bubble. Over the last 48 hours many cities and towns across southern Alberta have declared a state of emergency and have evacuated areas in danger of being swept away by overflowing creeks and rivers.
Despite all the rain, there is plenty of great biking to be had in the Bow Valley as we head into June. Even though places like West Bragg Creek and Moose Mountain might be too muddy to ride after a downpour, all you need to do is look to Canmore and Banff to get out on your bike.
