New Trail in Banff opening up this fall: BNP/BVMBA update

The Bow Valley Mountain Bike Alliance (BVMBA) has been hard at work since the first spring like weather that began in mid-March. To fill you in on the happenings and to get you as excited as I am about the season ahead, I’ve asked Doug Topp, BVMBA President and bikepirate guest blogger, to provide the following report on the new trail planned to open this fall.

I love bike shows! They make me feel like a kid in a candy store, but more importantly they signify that the start to the riding season is near. To me, this is what makes the event so exciting and fun to attend. Not only do you get some good deals on the latest products, cycling gear and bikes, but here’s your chance to mingle and chat with likeminded peeps who share your passion and can’t wait for the season to start.

As we approach the holidays and the spirit of giving overcomes us, why not do something good and help get more kids on bikes. 2013 bike reviews: OutDoor Demo

Day one begins with the huge OutDoor Demo held at Bootleg Canyon. It’s like entering an amusement park, but instead of roller coasters the area is filled with bicycles of all sorts from most of the major bike brands, allowing the retailer and media to test current and new 2013 models on the fun singletrack trails of Bootleg Canyon. Surly, Giant, Specialized, Pivot and more are here for us to test and review.
