Bobcat is a fun, flowy and fast singletrack trail that connects the West Bragg Creek trail system with the Moose Mountain trail network. It may be ridden in either direction, east to west or west to east, joining Ranger Summit with Tom Snow/Ridgeback. This trail is sure to put a smile on any rider’s face, once they get out there and ride it. The builders behind this route have cleverly laid out the trail to take advantage of the landscape and the evenly spaced trees, running the route just below the ridge to afford several scenic views. When ridden as a descent from Ranger Summit, Bobcat rewards riders with great views of Moose Mountain and provides some enjoyable smooth berms to carve. This intermediate trail has several well-built rollers that can double as jumps for those comfortable taking flight, adding to the excitement on the way down. Beware of loose gravel on the hard packed corners as you make your way towards the valley bottom. Several sections are brake-less, allowing real appreciation for flow and speed. Bobcat can also serve as a good climbing trail because of its consistent grade and mostly smooth trail surface. When ridden in combination with Ranger Summit, Tom Snow/Ridgeback, Bobcat offers up many possible loop options in the West Bragg Creek area.

Consider the following loop, starting at the West Bragg Creek parking lot. Ride Ranger Summit to Bobcat and continue west along Bobcat to Ridgeback. Pop out at Station Flats and pedal a short section east on Hwy 66 to the Elbow Trail. Ride Elbow Trail north to Snagmore and finish with the Boundary Ridge trail for one incredible loop taking around 2 – 3 hours to complete.
