Crankworx Whistler is only a week away and I’m jittery with anticipation! If you LOVE mountain biking as much as I do, than you’ll understand what all the fuss is about. On August 9, the world’s best downhill, slopestyle and enduro riders will gather at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park for the 10th Annual Crankworx. View the full event details here.
I love bike shows! They make me feel like a kid in a candy store, but more importantly they signify that the start to the riding season is near. To me, this is what makes the event so exciting and fun to attend. Not only do you get some good deals on the latest products, cycling gear and bikes, but here’s your chance to mingle and chat with likeminded peeps who share your passion and can’t wait for the season to start.
Day one begins with the huge OutDoor Demo held at Bootleg Canyon. It’s like entering an amusement park, but instead of roller coasters the area is filled with bicycles of all sorts from most of the major bike brands, allowing the retailer and media to test current and new 2013 models on the fun singletrack trails of Bootleg Canyon. Surly, Giant, Specialized, Pivot and more are here for us to test and review.
Are you crazy about mountain biking and all things bikes? Or hanging out in the sun people watching, drinking a nice refreshing beverage while sitting on a patio, and maybe taking in a free concert? All this and more is possible while the BIGGEST mountain bike event of the summer unfolds in front of you.
And so it begins, one of the craziest cycling industry expo’s of the year – Interbike, Las Vegas! This being my first show, I didn’t know what to expect. But, if day one is any indication, Interbike will be well worth the trip to Vegas. And did I mention it’s their 30th! I’m sure this will make things very exciting.
