Spring and All

Mother Nature has been lifting her long white winter dress, seducing us with the hopefulness of spring. As the trails slowly unfurl themselves from the grasp of winter’s chokehold, slowly revealing themselves one by one, we can learn to appreciate each one again. Embrace spring.

Despite all the rain, there is plenty of great biking to be had in the Bow Valley as we head into June. Even though places like West Bragg Creek and Moose Mountain might be too muddy to ride after a downpour, all you need to do is look to Canmore and Banff to get out on your bike. Flashback to NWD IV Hell Track

During a recent trip to Nelson I picked up the Nelson Roots, Rocks, Rhythm Cycling Guide and discovered in it the reference to the Sunshine Bay Bike Park. Located in Harrop, BC, the Sunshine Bay Bike Park was originally built for the Hell Track jump segment shown at the end of New World Disorder IV, which premiered in 2003. It was hard for me to resist checking out this park.
