Dog Beach is a fun and technical singletrack descent down to One Mile Lake. It may be accessed by riding up the Overhill Trail, but is typically ridden as one of the optional endings to K2; via Special K which pops out directly across from it. One can choose to just ride Dog Beach by pedaling up Overhill several times over, to get in a few laps. The trail starts down a steep section of slab and is followed by a number of switchbacks. There are several miniature root and rock jumps found along this short descent, with some great bermed corners allowing you to really motor down this trail. It’s a quick and fast descent, which will leave you longing for more. The great thing is, if you really like the run, it’s quick and easy to get to and do over.

Direct access to Dog Beach is via Overhill trail. Begin at the One Mile Lake parking area and take the Sea to Sky trail to Overhill. Turn left onto Overhill and pedal up the trail for 780 m, until you reach the well-singed trailhead for Dog Beach. It is located on the north side of the Overhill trail.
