Family Guy is a beginner/intermediate trail located on the west side of Moose Mountain. It may be used as a connector to SLF, Toothless and Billy Dog, some of the more advanced trails on Moose Mountain, or is best ridden on its own. This is a great introductory trail to the offerings on Moose Mountain and one of the longest descents on the west side of the mountain. The construction of Family Guy trail has been made possible by the hard efforts of nearly 200 dedicated volunteers, including many family groups, inspiring the Family Guy name.

The trailhead is located on the west side of Moose Mountain Road, just below Jean Guy and the carpark. It starts down a wonderful set of very well laid out stones onto a sweet and mellow singletrack. The trail pops in and out of the aspen and pine trees, offering up some incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valley below. The aspen trees are a special treat during the fall when the colours start to turn; offering up some incredible scenery. The trail has some great flow, a few tighter sections through the trees and some wide open sections can be found along the bench heading down to Ing’s Mine.

Family Guy is now FULLY OPEN and rideable. It was completed Sunday, September 15, 2013 thanks to all the volunteers!

The trailhead for Family Guy is well marked and can be found a 100 metres south of the Jean Guy Trailhead on Moose Mountain Road. Park at the Jean Guy pull off on Moose Mountain Road and ride 100 metres back down Moose Mountain; looking for the trailhead on rider’s right, west side of Moose Mountain Road.
