Gold Rush is a trail in its infancy. It is a connector from the power line cut on CBT Mainline to the end of Old Age and Treachery (OAT). Best ridden from north to south, the trail is smooth and flowy with very little pedaling required. One can ride Gold Rush in the opposite direction, making the trail a gentle climb up. Like Take It Easy, this is another trail built by Starr Trail Solutions and contains many jumps, gaps, and hits all with ride arounds options. Gold Rush will eventually follow the power line cut to connect with the south end of Take it Easy. Once completed, this section of Gold Rush will be one way only (downhill).
Gold Rush can be combined with several trails to create a fun loop starting from town. To do so, begin by riding up CBT to the power line cut. From there continue on up to Gold Rush, ride OAT, complete the OAT figure eight loop which will bring you back on to CBT for a nice descend back to town.
Stay tuned; the Golden Cycling Club is hoping to finish Gold Rush down to Take It Easy before next bug season (i.e. July, 2013). bikepirate will keep you posted on the progression of the trail!

The north end of this trail is reached from the power line cut on CBT Mainline. When riding up CBT, take a left on the gravel road at the power line. Climb the hill to the next power pole, the trail starts here. The south end of the trail is at the end of Old Age and Treachery (OAT).
