Goldilocks Loop is located in the West Bragg Creek Trails network, combining two fun singletrack trails to form a shorter loop one can mountain bike after work or when short on time. Begin your ride up (south) Ranger Summit. Climb until you reach the clearly marked Strange Brew trailhead, about 4.3 km up Ranger Summit. From there take Strange Brew (east) back down to Boundary Ridge junction. At the Boundary Ridge junction, turn left (north) and pedal the remaining one kilometer back to the West Bragg Creek carpark.
Goldilocks Loop starts by climbing up Ranger Summit, a switchbacking singletrack in a heavily forested area. The long climb is gradual, making it a real cardio workout while remaining fun. The descent down Strange Brew can be a fast pace affair when you let yourself open it up. The trail is not as smooth as other trails in the area, but the technical challenge makes this trail worth doing. The Loop ends with a short section on Boundary Ridge, descending the remainder of the way to the carpark.
Please note that most of this loop faces North and sits on poor draining soil. It takes a long time to clear of snow or significant rainfall and should not be ridden during the spring melt or after heavy precipitation. See the trip planning page for info on how to check recent precipitation amounts.
