Instant Gratification is a short singletrack descent accessed via the Blackcomb service road located on Blackcomb Mountain. The trail ends near private property, which is well-marked with “private property” signs and located to the left of the trail exit. Please turn right once you come out onto the clear cut, cross the stream and head right to descend down the ski out to Horstman Lane.

Instant Gratification trailhead is well-marked and located by the orange gate, where Blackcomb service road and a 4WD road meet; about a 1km south of Painted Cliff Road when climbing up from Spearhead Trail to the 4WD road and over to the Blackcomb access road. The trail consists of loose sections of dirt, root rolls that can be aired and a few tight technical switchbacks. Typically this trail is combined with Golden Boner and Roam In The Loam for one fast and technical run down to the bottom of the mountain. The trail may be ridden on its own, but not worth the effort when compared with the plethora of trails to choose from in nearby Lost Lake Park.

From Painted Cliff Road take Spearhead Trail east. The trail turns to 4WD quickly. Continue to climb this dirt road. Turn left at the first fork and right at the second. 1 km later you’ll reach an orange gate, about 300 m past the second fork. The trailhead for Instant Gratification is found next to the gate and well-marked.
