It’s Business Time is a must do all-mountain/x-country ride located in the south of Whistler. Also referred to as Duncan’s trail, named after Whistler’s trail builder Duncan Mackenzie who envisioned and started this trail, but tragically lost his life in an avalanche in December 2011. Completed in 2012 through the volunteer efforts of locals, this trail has everything one could possibly hope for in an all-mountain ride. Expect some fantastic views, technical rock and slab sections, challenging ups and gnarly downs. Several well-built Technical Trail Features (TTFs) serve as links between the boulders and slab that line the trail and the dirt. The trail uses every inch of the terrain as it twists and turns, winding its way down the mountain. There are several technical sections that will push even the expert rider, including a tight and steep line down loose dirt and rock onto a bridge near the end of the trail.
It’s Business Time is accessed via the Microwave Climb; an access road heading up the mountain from the Whistler Interpretive Forest parking lot. Once you start along the trail, about half-way down you will come across the trailhead for AM/PM. If you find the trail you’re on a little more than you can handle, take AM/PM to exit on to the Microwave Climb access road. It’s Business Time does get a bit more challenging just past the AM/PM trailhead and for the remainder of the trail. Or better yet, take the exit to re-do the first part of It’s Business Time. A great option for those that do not want this trail to end. Really, it’s that much fun!

Access to It’s Business Time is via the Microwave Climb; a closed to traffic dirt road heading up the mountain from the Whistler Interpretive Forest parking lot. Climb up the Microwave Climb for 1.7 km and take a left at the Highline Trail junction. 100 m later, 1.8 km up Microwave, look for the unmarked well used singletrack heading on up into the forest to your left. This is the start of It’s Business Time.
