King of the Shore is a beginner downhill/x-country trail located on Mount Fromme. It’s one of the lower trails, making it virtually rideable year round. Accessed via Upper Griffen (from the water tower) or Lower Griffen, King of the Shore is a great trail for beginner riders. Not very long on its own, one typically combines this trail as a part of a loop. Consider riding Mountain Highway to Upper Griffen down to King of The Shore, and back down the last section of Lower Griffen taking you out to McNair Drive.

King of the Shore may be ridden in either direction, so watch out for oncoming traffic. One can expect several low bridges across creeks and technical sections, specifically incorporated into the trail to make it that much more easier to ride.
