Opened in late 2013 and located in Whistler’s westside, Legalize It is a short and punchy singletrack trail that descends down to Lower Sproat from the Flank Trail. The entrance is easy to locate, off the Flank right next to High Society. Expect an undulating trail to start, followed by short punchy ups and abrupt rock rolls and drops. There are sections of steep loose dirt intermittent between the rock and slab lines. A few tight and tricky lines are found on this trail, which will challenge the advanced rider. Getting your flow on is not easy down this trail, with the myriad of technical lines that pop up around every corner and require quick reaction to link smoothly. A definite trial and error type of ride.

Accessing Legalize It is best done from Stonebridge using the no name blue trail to get up to Flank and riding south on Flank to the trailhead. Combine your descent down with several options, including the gnarly Bush Doctor or Beaver Pond across to Danimal North. The choice is yours and dependant on your skill, stamina and experience.

The trailhead for Legalize It is found beside High Society – just 5 m north. It’s best accessed via the Flank Trail from the north, using the blue connector trail leaving Stonebridge Place. Take Stonebridge Place to the roundabout and ride the dirt road beyond the yellow gate up. Once you near the industrial building, look for the blue trail to head right. Climb up the blue trail until you come to the junction with Flank Trail. Take Darwins (marked) up and across to where it connects back up with Flank and continue to climb Flank until you reach the entrance to Legalize It on your left.
