Little Creek Mesa consists of two main trails; the Outer (Big) and Inner Loop. The Outer Loop is a fun, undulating ride on slick rock, through sections of sandy singletrack and along the edge of the mesa for a few kilometers of exposed trail. The views are incredible of the surrounding valley below and the riding combines technical sections with some fast and short descents. Be careful when riding the Waterfall. A technical section that has seen its share of carnage. Only a few riders are known to have cleaned this short 50 metre section walked by most.
Please do not ride on any unmarked trails, move the cairns or disrupt the natural settings of this area. Our recommendation is to hook up with a local guide, hire a shuttle service (Mountain Bike Buddies) or attend an Over The Edge Sports shop ride to make your way around the area. Trail finding is tricky if you’re not familiar with the area and there have been incidents of riders getting very lost on the trail.

Take Hwy 59 south, located at the east end of Hurricane. You will drive up and out of Hurricane, following 59 past Little Plain (Chevron Gas Station). Drive 2.4 km past Little Plain and look for a dirt road on to your right. If you hit Goose Berry Mesa turn off (signed), you’ve gone too far on Hwy 59. Turn right on to the dirt road and continue up the main road. Turn right again at the Old Coral and left at the fork in the road. Continue up the road till you arrive at the trailhead which is where the big slab of slick rock begins.
