Lower Mackenzie Cruise is a fun intermediate descent accessed at the end of Happy Trail climb, near the start of Waco Connector. Located in the Mackenzie Area of Pemberton, Lower Mackenzie Cruise has seen some recent upgrades and rerouting. The advanced technical fall line sections have been replaced with well-built switchbacks, now taking the rider into smooth bermed corners. These upgrades increase the flow factor of the trail, making it a pleasure to ride.

If you’re looking to ride a relatively quick intermediate loop, ride Happy Trail up to Waco Connector and down Lower Mackenzie Cruise. This short lap will take about an hour to ride, including the pedal out from the gravel pit or town.

Access the Lower Mackenzie Cruise via Happy Trail and look for it just before the Waco Connector junction. The trailhead is located left off Happy Trail. You will come across it shortly after riding by the bench at the well-defined lookout point on Happy. The trailhead is not marked, but the entrance for Lower Mackenzie Cruise is very obvious.
