Main Vein is a short alternate line found on the lower part of Cream Puff in the Mosquito Lake Area. This is not an actual trail, but rather an expert option off of Cream Puff made up of several technical moves down a steep and gnarly rock bluff. This optional route is full of consequence, if not executed perfectly. The expert line down to the access road below should be avoided for those not comfortable with the line choice presented. The access to Main Vein is very obvious and found after a set of long and steep rolling rock slabs, located on the lower section of Cream Puff. Cream Puff continues left into the woods after the rollers. While Main Vein charges straight ahead towards the large rock bluff, before descending down the steep rock face on the other side. The first few moves are steep, followed by a very tight 90 degree corner onto a narrow ledge. The rider will have to skirt the ledge without tumbling 30 feet below, onto the final front wheel sucking roll out. Walk this short line first, before attempting it. A big bike with loads of travel is best, full-face helmet and armour are also advised. Once you clean this section, turn left and pedal up the road for about 20 m to rejoin with Cream Puff, which crosses the road and continues on down the final descent.

Found on the lower section of Cream Puff, before the access road Cream Puff spits out on and crosses. This is a very challenging and very committing line, to be ridden by experienced riders only. Look for it after the final long steep slab down Cream Puff, just as you pop out of the woods. Cream Puff will head left back into the woods, while Main Vein charges straight ahead towards the large rock bluff.
