Our business name is bikepirate, (hereafter “bikepirate” or “Company”). We are the owner of the trademark and web site www.bikepirate.com, as well as other web sites located on the Internet. All information provided in this Privacy Policy pertains to bikepirate, www.bikepirate.com (hereafter “web site”) and our other web sites, either existing now or created in the future. bikepirate provides a collection of online resources, including classified listings, advertising, user feedback and links to third-party web sites (hereafter “Services”), for the biking community. We attempt to verify all of the information we provide directly, however, we make no claim as to the accuracy of such information, due to the changing nature of natural resources, influenced by weather, governments and their subdivisions, manmade activity and other unknown forces.

A. bikepirate takes User privacy seriously and takes reasonable efforts to protect it. We have created this Privacy Policy (hereafter “Policies”) in order to share with you our information collection and use practices. AS IS MORE CLEARLY DEFINED HEREIN, WE WILL NEVER KNOWINGLY SELL OR ASSIGN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND OR APPROVAL. We will never sell User Information to any 3rd-party not affiliated with bikepirate, without consent, except in connection with the sale or merger of bikepirate or the division responsible for such services provided.

G.  bikepirate may also use such Voluntary Information for marketing its products and Services to you unless you have ‘opted out’ of receiving such marketing information from us. User may ‘opt out’ by checking their Account Settings or sending us an email, to info@bikepirate.com.

H.  bikepirate may, from time to time, send or post surveys or requests for User Feedback in order to help us make our web site and services better. Any responses we receive from Users will be used only to evaluate our web sites and Services and no personally identifiable information from respondents will be shared with any non-employees of bikepirate.

I.  bikepirate may, from time to time, send notices about special offers, promotions or contests. If you sign up to participate in any of these, we will collect your email address. If you are chosen for a promotion or as a winner in a contest, you give bikepirate permission to use your name, image and other information about you, for marketing purposes.

V. Does bikepirate Have A Newsletter?

A.  bikepirate regularly sends out newsletters by email (collectively, hereinafter, referred to as the “Newsletter”) to all bikepirate Users (who have signed up for it). In these Newsletters, we may inform you about new features from bikepirate, new trails, trail revisions, or about upcoming events or special promotions.

B.  You may choose to unsubscribe from the Newsletter at any time by sending an email to the link provided at the end of each Newsletter, by checking your Account Settings or sending us an email to info@bikepirate.com.

VI. Does bikepirate Use Cookies and Logs?

A.  Cookies are small text files that a web site can write to your computer. bikepirate, like many other web sites, may use cookies to identify you, customize web page content and allow you to log in once to our web sites and search or post without having to log in again. If you reached our web sites by clicking on a link or advertisement on another web site, then we also log that information. This helps us to maximize our Internet exposure, and to understand the interests of our Users. F.  Like many other web sites, www.bikepirate.com, makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages and number of clicks that we use to analyze trends, administer the web site, track User’s movement around the web site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

VII. Is My Information Private With bikepirate’s Merchants and Advertisers?

A.  The bikepirate web sites may contain links to various 3rd-party web sites and the external web sites of our advertisers and/or 3rd-party partners. Each of these web sites may have a Privacy Policy that differs from that of bikepirate. This Policy does not cover the Privacy Policies of other web sites. We urge you to check the Privacy Policies of each web site that you may visit or interact with.

B.  The only information that may be shared between bikepirate and one of our partner web sites is that which pertains to information used in the furtherance of tracking an order and providing Users with correct information regarding same.

C.  Order information, including order numbers and amounts, may be available to bikepirate, affiliate merchants and 3rd-party affiliate program management companies, for accurate tracking purposes. bikepirate will not release this information to other parties unless you request it.

A.  bikepirate gives you the option to remove your personally identifiable information from our list of active Users.

bikepirate web site is administered in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. If User is located outside of Canada, by using any of our web site, User authorizes the import of information and its use as specified in these Policies.

XII. What Is The Minimum Age To Use bikepirate’S Web Site?

A.  Use of the bikepirate web site and products/Services are intended for persons who are thirteen (13) years or older.

B.  If proof comes to the attention of bikepirate that a User is under the age of thirteen (13) years, and is accessing our Services and/or products without the consent, approval or authorization of their parents or legal guardian, bikepirate will immediately terminate such service.
