Ranger Summit is one of the recently built multiuse singletrack trails located in West Bragg Creek Trails network. This trail is a must do ride when visiting the area. It begins south of the West Bragg Creek carpark, across the West Bragg bridge, switchbacking up Ranger Ridge. Half-way up Ranger Summit is the turn off for Strange Brew, for those looking for a quick singletrack loop that takes about an hour to complete. Once you’ve reached Ranger Summit, the trail begins to descend southeast. Turn-around at this point, if you’re riding Ranger Summit as an out-and-back, or continue on down to the Elbow Trail and Snagmore junction. About 300 metres down the descent the trail gets a bit more technical. At this point you’re no longer on Ranger Summit, but rather on Sugar Mama. Sugar Mama is an unsanctioned trail currently under review – ride this trail at your own risk as it is not officially maintained. Once you hit Elbow Trail, to complete your loop, take Snagmore to Boundary Ridge finishing at the West Bragg carpark.

Ranger Summit trail was built for the intermediate rider. Beginners with a little experience will also enjoy this fun ride up and great descent down. It may be ridden as an out-and-back, or as a part of the Goldilocks or Southern Flow Loops.
