Roam In The Loam is an intermediate descending trail located on Blackcomb Mountain. Even though the trail is rated intermediate it should be noted that there are a couple of stiff moves down some tight, steep and loose root drops. An optional entrance to Roam In The Loam comes in from the right when you’re descending the toughest section of trail and not worth riding as it is very loose and sketchy. Keep left to continue descending down the obvious line choice. There are several fallen logs to roll or air off of at the start of this route, while well-bermed switchbacking corners greet the rider near the end before spitting you out onto the Blackcomb access road where Lower Cruiser ski run intersects it.

Access to Roam In The Loam is found directly off of Blackcomb service road, across from where Golden Boner spits out. Look for the trailhead to your right when climbing up, before the wide swooping switchback heading left. The trail is best combined with Golden Boner and Instant Gratification to form a challenging singletrack descent.

From Painted Cliff Road take Spearhead Trail east. The trail turns to 4WD quickly. Continue to climb this dirt road. Turn left at the first fork and right at the second. 1 km later you’ll reach an orange gate, ride past the gate and continue to climb – do not head right down the access road, climb up. The trailhead for Roam In The Loam is found up the Blackcomb service road, on your right. There will be a wide pull-off on the service road right before the entrance to the trail. Golden Boner will spit out to your left.
