Roll Yer Bones is a technically challenging singletrack trail located in the Cut Yer Bars zone. It is best ridden as a loop from where Cut Yer Bars begins to descend down through the tight trees and out towards the power lines. For maximum flow be sure to ride the loop clockwise. Counter clockwise is not recommended because of a section of steep rock slabs that cannot be climbed, but make for an awesome descent. The trail is located in the Cut Yer Bars zone and is typically combined with several other trails to form a challenging ride. Roll Yer Bones will test most riders with its challenging moves up elevated rocks, down steep slabs, and across the rocky and rooty terrain. A number of technical trail features (TTFs) are found along its route, adding to the fun. The well-worn Roll Yer Bones loop is relatively easy to follow, once you find your way onto it as there is only one trail sign located near the north end. This makes navigation tricky for new riders to the area. The good news is that the Cut Yer Bars zone is not very large, making it almost impossible to get lost as all exits lead to the surrounding subdivisions.

Roll Yer Bones may also be ridden in sections; out towards the Rainbow Substation or from the Rainbow Substation to access Cut Yer Bars. If you’re accessing the trail from the north end, look for the trail sign for Roll Yer Bones to point you in the right direction. All riders climbing up the trail should stick to the lower part of the loop. When descending the trail keep to the top part of the loop for maximum flow and fro your chance to descend the fun and challenging rock slabs. Roll Yer Bones makes for a great introductory trail to the intermediate to advanced singeltrack found in Whistler. It’s easy to access, easy to navigate and found right in town so the chances of getting lost or slim to none.
