With a name like Suicide Creek Trail, you might find yourself contemplating whether this trail is every bit as hard as it sounds. Well threat not, Suicide Creek Trail is an amazingly fun bit of intermediate singletrack suitable to most riders of all skill level. The trail is located in the Duck Lake Area near town and long enough to loop on its own. Or combine Suicide Creek Trail with the endless trail options found nearby; including Farside, Blackwater, Sweetwater and Cable-Trail. Suicide Creek is a delight to ride and with very little elevation gain and modest technical sections, this buff singletrack will be enjoyed by all intermediate to advanced riders who decide to give it a whirl. Beginners wanting to get more comfortable riding a mellow singletrack trail, surrounded by lush moss among the thick forest canopy, will enjoy exploring Suicide Creek.

Access to Suicide Creek Trail is via the Duck Lake FSR Branch 1 beginning at the well-defined parking area; the Mud Lake/ Suicide Parking pull off. Begin your ride from Mud Lake/ Suicide parking, riding straight onto the well-marked trail, just south of the parking sign. Suicide Creek Trail is a gentle rolling singletrack with several short ups and several fun downs. The trail runs through the thick rain forest, creating a brown snake like line among the sea of green moss. For any true mountain bike rider, it’s a thing of beauty to behold. The glowing moss illuminates the otherwise dark wooded area, making one feel like they are riding in an enchanted forest. Although Suicide Creek Trail may be ridden in either direction it flows best counter-clockwise, offering a nice gradual accent and a fun and flowy descent. There are several low lying bridges along this route, almost all built wide and easy to roll over. A favourite among the local’s, Suicide Creek Trail is worth a rip if you’re new to the area.
