Do you love the trails around Canmore? The Open Space and Trails Plan guides the planning of the trails and paths in Canmore (as well as parks, playgrounds, off leash parks, and other open spaces). It’s currently in draft form, and they’re looking for your input.
Despite all the rain, there is plenty of great biking to be had in the Bow Valley as we head into June. Even though places like West Bragg Creek and Moose Mountain might be too muddy to ride after a downpour, all you need to do is look to Canmore and Banff to get out on your bike. For more info on trails best ridden after the rain has fallen, read on.
What a fantastic evening! Thank you to all that made it out last night for the Bow Valley Mountain Bike Trail Guide book launch party. A BIG thank you to my amazing girlfriend Cor for organizing the whole event and to Jodi and Cherie for running the till for me all night. You were amazing ladies! The Montane Traverse Trail – all the way to Harvey Heights – is in amazing shape. Super dry and fast. About a 2 – 3 hour ride, depending on your fitness, rated intermediate to advanced, the trail is a x-country ride. Physically it is demanding, as there is a lot of up, but you are rewarded with some fabulous views of the Rundle Mountain Range.
