Originally this trail was envisioned to be an easy green pedal along the west bank of the Columbia River. However, once built the Golden Cycling Club realized this wasn’t the case and assigned it intermediate status. There are short sections of exposure along the banks of the Columbia River and the trail features many (20+) manmade jumps/gaps/hips. Take It Easy took on a new meaning i.e. Take It Easy as not to go soaring off the stunts and into the river. This trail rolls high above the banks of the Columbia River. Currently it is rideable as an out and back but will eventually link up with Old Age and Treachery hopefully by this fall. Ride this trail southbound and scope out the numerous jumps, gaps, berms, and hips this trail offers. When you approach Elk Road, turn around and ride back north hitting all those previously scoped jumps/gaps/hips. All of the stunts have ride arounds with the exception of the wooden bridges, be careful riding the wooden features when wet! If you are a rider who does not like exposure this trail may not be for you as there are a number of sections that hug the bank of the Columbia 10 meters above the river.
