Telephone Loop is only partially maintained for summer use, the 5.9 km leg located on the east side of the West Bragg Creek Trails network. The remaining 6.6 km on the west side is not recommended for summer use as it is only maintained during the winter months for skiing. The trail is made up of narrow doubletrack, with a few short sections of singletrack scattered throughout. A popular trail among equestrians, it is not recommended for riding when wet. Spring is a particularly bad time to get on this trail as it takes a while to dry out and will be considerably muddy. Provided that sufficient funding is donated and government approval secured, the east side of Telephone Loop may be upgraded in 2013. To donate, click here.

There is not a lot of elevation gain on this trail, but it does contain a number of short steep ups and quick downs as it rolls along the undulating terrain. Braggin Rights, Disconnet (under construction), Reconnect and Long Distance are the new singletrack trails that either cross or connect to Telephone Loop. With so many new singletrack trails built in the area, there is no need to waste your time on this ride, unless you’re connecting it with one of the newly built trails to form a loop.
