Tunnel Vision is a fun descending x-country/all-mountain trail located in Whistler south. It is accessed via the Microwave Climb, 2.4 km up from the Whistler Interpretive Forest. The majority of the trail is singletrack, with a few wider sections of doubletrack along its route. Several Technical Trail Features (TTFs), including skinnies and bridges, line the trail. The first section of trail begins with a short steep switchbacking climb, up a few tricky rocks located right at the entrance. After that there are several options along the first bit of trail to descend – easier and harder routes. The crux of the trail is the fantastic rockface roller that measures around 20 metres in length and can pose a challenge to most riders, especially when wet. Once past this section, the trail mellows out a bit more and continues to descend all the way down to Kadenwood Drive in Bayshores.

Tunnel Vision is a good trail for the intermediate to advanced rider looking to ease in to the advanced trails found in Whistler. The climb to access the trail is all doubletrack and easy to follow up to the trailhead. Tunnel Vision is more flow than tech, allowing the rider new to Whistler some time to adjust to the technical nature of most trails found here.

Access to Tunnel Vision is via the Microwave Climb (4×4). Begin your ride from the Whistler Interpretive Forest parking lot and climb up the Valley Trail to where the 4×4 dirt road crosses the Valley Trail. Turn right, up the 4×4 doubletrack (Microwave Climb), and continue climbing for a total of 2.4 km to reach the trailhead for Tunnel Vision. The trailhead is well-marked and quite obvious; located left of the clearing and heading into the woods up a tricky rock pile.
