In 2011 over 32 kilometres of intermediate, fast, and flowy singletrack trails were built in the West Bragg Creek area by the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association; a purely volunteer group of Bragg Creek residents that are working hard to design, build and maintain trails and pathways for the benefit of residents and visitors of Bragg Creek. The trails are all multi-use and may be ridden in either direction, providing the rider with a plethora of loop options; including the Goldilocks, Southern Flow, Northern 8, and Northern Flow Loops. Riders are encouraged to be safe and show respect to other trail users as the popular trail network has seen significant rapid growth. All trails are well marked with trail markers and maps at major intersections, making it virtually impossible to get lost.

The West Bragg Creek summer trail network was developed by a unique collaboration among all user groups; including hikers, equestrians and mountain bikers. These volunteer groups have come together to help fundraise and build this incredible network of singletrack trails, adding to the already popular winter trail network. A HUGE thank you goes out to the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association for all the effort this group has put into creating and maintaining these amazing trails. If you’ve not had the chance to explore the vast network of singletrack trails, only 45 minutes west of Calgary, then you’re in for a treat.

GBCTA needs your help to maintain and build more trails in the area. If not for this group and the dedicated volunteers, this area would not exist. Please consider doing your part by donating or volunteering.
