The Wonderland trail is an incredibly fun, flowy and scenic intermediate x-country ride. Located in the Alice Lake Area, Wonderland will delight intermediate to expert riders with its playful nature. The exceedingly lush forest with its thick canopy creates and wonderfully majestic experience as you descend this route. Best ridden north to south for maximum flow, this trail is a hoot to ride. Beginner riders pushing intermediate will revel in the joy of making it across one of the many low lying bridges scattered along the route of this trail, while the experienced rider will enjoy the winding and twisting singletrack with its incredible flow. Although the trail descends at a very low angle towards Hwy 99 and Depot Road, it will amaze you how quickly one can actually get moving down this trail with minimal effort. Just be careful of riders choosing to ride up the trail when heading south on it.

Wonderland is made up of several low lying bridges and moderate roots and rocks that make this trail a perfect introduction for beginner riders looking to gain more confidence on their bikes. The trail has several access points, with the main trailhead located on Alice Lake Park Road. It is well marked and easily found. A short pedal up from the main trailhead is the advanced drop-in option which descends down onto the Wonderland trail. Consider this if you’re looking for a tricky and techy start to your ride, not for the beginner or intermediate rider.

To extend your ride in the area, consider riding White Rabbit to Wonderland. The trail is found just north of the Wonderland trailhead and is very a similar ride to that of Wonderland, which will add 1.5 km to your route.
